21.06.2010 The Bosch 360° Line Laser PLL 360 makes many DIY projects easier to do and ensures that no errors are made when doing them. This self-leveling tool offers a horizontal 360° laser line which is clearly visible in a diameter of up to 20 meters. It also has a vertical laser line with a fan angle of 120°. This enables do-it-yourselfers to perform applications in the entire room: on the floor, on walls and on the ceiling. The fact that the laser lines are not moving – unlike the rotating point of a rotation laser – makes work particularly convenient.
The tool is easily operated using three buttons: the on/off switch, the mode button and the button for deactivating the automatic leveling function when inclined laser lines are required. Three easy-to-understand symbols indicate which function is selected.
The mode button of the Bosch PLL 360 makes it very easy for the do-it-yourselfer to select the suitable laser line: the horizontal 360° laser line is, for example, used for fitting suspended ceilings, installing plug sockets and light switches, and for fitting borders or curtain poles; the vertical laser line is required, for example, for precise installation of partition walls. Both laser lines are used when a precise laser cross is required, for example when laying wall tiles.
The Bosch PLL 360 is the most compact tool with this performance level on the market (125x85x70 mm). It levels itself in less than four seconds. If the tool is outside of the self-leveling range of four degrees, an LED lights up and the laser lines are automatically switched off. The laser lines offer an accuracy of 0.4 mm/m.
Bosch is launching the 360° Line Laser PLL 360 onto the market in June 2010 in two versions: as a set with a robust, stable aluminum tripod and as a basic version with the Universal Mount MM1. The innovative Universal Mount MM1 is also available as an accessory. It is suitable for use as a floor stand or as a wall mount. It is fitted to the wall, for example, with a screw. The rotary knob of the MM1 allows for continuously variable adjustment of the height in a range of six centimeters. For space-saving storage, the MM1 can be folded up into a very compact size. The aluminum tripod offers work heights from 52 cm to 150 cm. The recommended retail price for the set version with tripod is 169.00 euros, for the basic version with MM1 it is 149.00 euros. Both prices are including VAT.
