Baden- Württemberg’s creative networks strengthen the innovative capacity and international competitive- ness of their active participants.

A multitude of active co-operation projects and initiatives generate new market potential and competitive advantage for businesses and participants in the creative industries based here.

  • Networking between the individual sectors of the creative sectors which include both information and media as well as the “classic” sectors such as architecture, design, the fine arts and performing arts through inter-disciplinary co-operation is a key factor in the sustainable competitive capability of individual participants.

  • According to an analysis by the European Cluster Observatory of the European Union, no other European region has so many or such strong clusters in sectors relevant to the creative industries as Baden-Württemberg. Within the IT and communications technologies, the regions of Karlsruhe, Stuttgart and Tübingen belong in the top 10 locations in Europe, as does the Stuttgart region for publishing.

  • Germany’s south-west has 18 organisations competent in the creative industries. The core regions of the Baden-Württemberg creative industries are located in the regions of Stuttgart/ Ludwigsburg and Mannheim/Karlsruhe.
