• The German electrical engineering industry, with around 26,000 businesses, is the largest industrial sector in Germany after mechanical engineering. It has a turnover of over 240 billion Euros and over 1.0 million employees.

• In terms of the electrical industry„s dynamic product spectrum, Germany has a density unrivalled by equipment manufacturers operating worldwide, and suppliers for raw materials, components and equipment along the whole value- added chain.

• Over the past few years, this sector has always grown more strongly than the German economy as a whole, and is therefore one of the most rapidly growing sectors.
