Worldwide demand for top products from Baden-Württemberg’s chemical companies

• The quality of “Made in Baden-Württemberg” chemical products is confirmed by the high proportion of exports with the major portion of chemical products from Baden-Württemberg being exported.

• The most intensive external trade links are with neighbouring European states. Almost 70% of Baden-Württemberg’s chemical exports remain within the European Union. The two most important export markets are the Netherlands and Belgium.

• As for the whole German chemical industry, Ireland is the most important import country for the chemical companies in Baden- Württemberg by some margin. Around one third of all imports relevant to chemicals are obtained from Ireland.
