A highly-qualified potential workforce is available to businesses in the aerospace industry. The density of engineers, scientists and technicians in Baden-Württemberg is amongst the highest in the whole of Europe.

The University of Stuttgart educates around 80% of aerospace engineers in Germany. The Aerospace Engineering and Geodetics faculty at the University of Stuttgart is the largest faculty in this field in Europe, with a total of 14 institutes. This faculty alone, with over 1,500 students in aerospace engineering and 200 in geodetics, possesses an enormous pool of potential employees for local enterprises in the sector.
