Baden Württemberg is regarded all over the world as the leading region in production technology, with around 27% of all employees working in the German mechanical engineering industry. The "MANUFUTURE©-BW e.V." association was founded in order to develop the great potential in the field of production technology in Baden-Württemberg, the main area targetted being the greater Stuttgart region.

MANUFUTURE©-BW e.V. is backed by an alliance of sponsors from industry, administration, research, training and educational institutes, and regional centres of competence. The association's activities focus on supporting and intensifying the exchange of ideas and information as well as on the collaboration of members of the association along their value added chains in fields of technology that have major significance for production.

The association also aims to effectively contribute towards promoting Baden-Württemberg as a location for production technology, not only in order to enhance the state's attractiveness and expertise on a national and international level but also to become a platform for important matters relating to production technology.
