Companies with up to 300 employees from industry and the trades can obtain low-interest credit in order to finance the cost of production equipment and company-specific modifications. The focus is on loans to small and medium-sized companies for settlement and expansion, especially in structurally weak rural areas.

If you have established your company in Baden-Württemberg and are planning to expand in a few years and therefore require finance, we are the people to talk to.
For medium to long-term borrowing needs, L-Bank offers a financing package as a standard program for new business start-ups and expansion. It also offers specialized promotional instruments in its program for the development of rural areas and for the promotion of technology and the regions. For short to medium-term borrowing needs, flexible promotional instruments are also available in the form of liquidity assistance and L-Bank-Invest.
As an alternative or supplement to borrowing, financing with equity-like "mezzanine" capital is possible as well. With the L-MezzaFin program of L-Bank, participation of MBG as a silent partner or a subordinate loan from 'ERP-Kapital für Gründung' (business start-up scheme) of the KfW banking group, there are three financing instruments.
For all these programs for outside financing as well as for the 'ERP-Kapital für Gründung' of the KfW banking group, applications must be made through the company's regular bank. The applicant does not approach the promotional institutions directly but through his regular bank, which makes the necessary application, organizes the necessary contracts and makes sure that the promotional funds are paid out.

With its multi-facetted promotional instruments, the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economics works with Baden-Württemberg International, the chamber of industry and commerce and the state's chambers of trade and industry as well as the Landesverband der Baden-Württembergischen Industrie (state association of Baden-Württemberg industry) to support mainly small and medium-sized companies in their efforts to establish a presence in important foreign markets.
The annual program of bw-i for entry into foreign markets is coordinated with industrial and economic organizations. It ranges from trade fair participations and cooperation forums to company presentations and technical symposia.
The program is supplemented with additional promotional measures for medium-sized companies that include consulting and notification services as well as the financial promotion of group participations in trade fairs abroad.
