First of all, Artur Fischer is a real Baden-Württembergian inventor. In the beginning there was a photo flashlight with synchronized triggering. In 1958 the world famous "Fischer-Dübel S" and later on many other inventions followed. But Artur Fischer also is an entrepreneur. In 1948 he founded his own company, a small workshop in Hörschweiler. With more than 5700 patents Fischer is among to Germany's inventor elite.

"The most important resource is in our heads." says Fischer. According to his persuasion that creativity should be cultivated as early as possible there is not only the Fischertechnik building set for kids but also annual invention competitions for pupils.
