Hubert Burda Media operates internationally and publishes more than 200 periodicals, almost 60 of them in Germany. Zu den stärksten Zeitschriften des Hauses zählen The strongest periodicals include BUNTE, FREUNDIN, LISA, ELLE and MEIN SCHÖNER GARTEN.

In 1993 FOCUS news magazine marked the most successful launch in the history if German publishing. Earlier than other publishers, Hubert Burde Media opened the market of interactive electronic media. Thus the company is one of the largest providers of internet conten in German language. The TOMORROW FOCUS AG combines some of the most successful internet companies, e.g. "FOCUS online" one of the biggest general interest portals in the German-speaking area. Since 2000 the then-founded Burda Digital itself conceives networked business solutions, develops internet projects and invests in promising companies of the internet and e-entertainment industry.

Prof. Dr. Hubert Burda, president of the German publishers association VDZ and co-founder of the European Publishers Council EPC donates the Hermann-Lenz-Preis, a prize for German literature. He was honored with several decorations for his cultural, scientific and social activities, among which some important ones are: the support of Steven Spielberg's Shoah Foundation and the publishing of a CD-ROM with testimonials of Holocaust survivors and the support and development of the Ben-Gurion-University in Beer Sheva, Israel.
