Porsche, the Stuttgart sports car manufacturer, has chosen its chief executive for the company Europa AG. On Wednesday, Wendelin Wiedeking was appointed head of the new company and chief financial officer Georg Härter was named as his deputy. This was decided as expected during a plenary meeting of the supervisory board. According to information provided by the company, both managers will retain their positions at Dr. Ing h.c. F. Porsche AG.
"Porsche Automobil Holding SE", which is a public limited company in accordance with European law and has its head office in Stuttgart, was decided on during the automobile manufacturer's annual general meeting at the end of June. In Europa AG, the previous Porsche AG as a sports car manufacturer will be combined with the just under 31 per cent holding in the Volkswagen corporation.
Wolfgang Porsche was elected chairman of the controlling committee as in the old structure. According to Porsche, head of the employees' committee Uwe Hück is the deputy chairman of the supervisory board of "Porsche Automobil Holding SE".
