Rastatt - In DaimlerChrysler's Rastatt factory, the two millionth vehicle since the start of production 15 years ago has come off the conveyor belt. The comet-grey A class model of the type 160 CDI is intended for the Italian market and combines sports-car mobility and environmental compatibility, according to a statement made by a corporate spokesperson on Monday. The production facility in Rastatt was inaugurated in May 1992. Here, DaimlerChrysler has been producing the Mercedes-Benz A class for ten years. Previously, the E class was assembled here. Since 2005, the B class has also been manufactured in Rastatt.
