Stuttgart - The pharmaceutical wholesaler Celesio has increased its sales revenues and profits in the first six months of this year. The group sales revenue increased in comparison to the previous year by 5.5 percent to 11.2 billion euro.
The increase in sales revenue resulting among other things from the consolidation of the two Danish companies K.V. Tjellesen and Max Jenne and from the sale of chemists and the continuously positive development in the chemists’ field, as the company informed in Stuttgart on Thursday.
The annual net profit rose in the first six months of 2007 by 5.2 percent to 217.5 million euro. The profit per share increased in the first six months of 2007 by 5.2 percent to 1.27 euro. The earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA), increased by 8.0 percent to 421.6 million euro. The earnings before taxes rose by 5.7 percent to 308.0 million euro.
