Aesculap, a medical technology company based in Tuttlingen in the south of Germany, will invest €20 million for the expansion of the company’s premises in Tuttlingen.
Additional costs will also arise from the purchase of the land. In addition, Aesculap intends to establish a new logistics centre situated on 10,000 square metres. According to the company, the expansion will also lead to 50 newly created jobs. It is planned to commence construction in the summer of 2007. Aesculap employs 2,600 people in Tuttlingen.
The company develops products and services for major surgical processes, including 6,000 surgical instruments. Aesculap is a part of B. Braun Melsungen AG, which brings in revenues of nearly € 3 billion with their nearly 30,000 employees.
