The energy provider EnBW will build a new black coal power plant in Karlsruhe. The supervisory board of the Energie Baden-Württemberg AG approved the one billion investment on Friday. According to a company statement EnBW-CEO Utz Claassen called this the "most enjoyable decision for growth of the year". The ultra-modern power plant will arise on the compound of the Karlsruher Rheinhafendampfkraftwerk (RDK).
